It's 6am and there's a Styrofoam cup of coffee in hand,
The full moon is providing the light to show me the path,
Fall's crisp cold air nips at my nose as I start to walk,
It's days like these I never forget,
The grass along the trail is frosted still,
While the trees welcome the rise in temperature,
I yawn and stretch, kick up a little dust,
Halfway up the trail the moon high-fives the rising sun as it clocks out,
The deer in this area still move around fearlessly,
Yet keep a watchful eye on me as I reach the top of the hill,
Good morning, Lord, how are you today?
Thanks for limber legs and a heart that seeks exploration,
Help me share this with others,
Help me share You with them as well,
And help me never lose sight of You or Your plans for me.
