The noise of the waves is deafening as we stand here,
Over and over they continue to crash,
We draw our blades atop the lone rock,
Your eyes, they burn with rage,
It is my desire to defend my family and friends,
For this reason it is in battle that we engage,
You are wild and inexperienced, an impulsive fighter,
I stand here calm and careless should I die today,
The sun is setting and I remark, "It isn’t going to get any lighter,"
You raised your blade and laughed, Victory shall be mine, for I am an O’Day!"
The place is here,
The time is now,
This determines it all,
"One shall stand, one shall fall," I thought silently,
You chose the rash approach of charging right in,
Such predictable moves, all just controlled by the rage in those eyes of yours,
Finally I break your grip upon the blade, you are fallen and wounded,
The terror is in your eyes as I raise my blade to strike you,
Down comes the blade and stops just short of your head,
"Get up," I say, "This battle is finished,"
You cry out, "End my life, I am defeated!"
I shake my head, “No, your life will continue, forgive your transgressors and live in peace.”
