Troubled Heart:
They ask me how I’m doing, I tell them I’m fine,
Then from the night comes a glimmering light,
A bright glow emanates from the back of the room,
At first I ignore it, but later I find I can’t help but look,
I turn around and for the first time I saw you,
There you stood chatting with friends, here I stand frozen,
Such a beauty about you one can not simply put into words,
As I try to ignore my emotions, my heart, I still look over at you,
It is then that time stops as you look over in my direction,
The seconds turn into hours, the hours to days and I am at peace,
My mind tells me to look away, my heart says keep looking,
The room is now blindingly white as you smile in my direction,
The primary systems come back online and I smile and turn away,
Cursed be my senses, you glance steals my breath,
May we meet again one day.
