~1979 Plymouth Duster~
I got this car in November, 1996, it had 72,000 Miles and Needed a bit of bodywork due to the older gentelman that owned it before me - He would scrape up the sides a bit going in and out of the garage. I have used this car as a daily driver for 11 Years. It had a 2 BBl slant and a 904 with a 7.25 Rear when I first got it. It came from Virgina and was a solid car. The frame started to rot where all the f -bodies do after 1-2 years of driving in salt. I got it welded up before any major rot occured. It was then that I decided to start saving my drain oil and spraying it under the car. I has Some surface rust and some body Work Popping out, but no major rot after 10+ years of salt. I have replaced the Backlight for Electric Defrost. I rechromed the bumpers about 7 years ago. I put a 8.25 3.21 Suregrip in it, and also added a Rear sway bar, Rebuilt the front suspension and Installed a new Steering Box and New Rear Springs. I swapped the Motor and trans a year back. It now has an 833 OD - was originally an auto. I have installed 3" single Exhaust all thew way back. Future Plans include Installing a t-5 trans and Possibly a rear end Ratio change to 3.55 or 3.73. The car currently has 184,000 Miles on it. The Engine Blew a rod bearing at about 165,00 and I put in a 27,000 Mile slant 6 at that point.
