The Garamond
Report: Week One
Welcome
folks to the first edition of the Garamond report, where I'll be
talking about how I thought everything turned out and just give my
own opinion of different matters. Let's get started folks.
Good quality matches on RAW and Smackdown! Smackdown! definitely
delivered the matches, but the Pimp Daddy Squall and Hulk Hogan
segment on RAW was a pure stroke of genius. Honestly, that has to be
my favorite part this week. It sure was a great segment and I admit
that I enjoyed it.
Some good feuds are going on here. The one I see most potential for
the King Balk and Cosmo. It would be great to see them go one on one
at King of the Ring, which I think may just be happening. It'll be
interesting to see if Balk has any plans for the KotR match between
Cosmo and Garamond on RAW.
The six man tag on Smackdown! was probably one of the better
matches. The gWo is truly beginning to grow as a dominant force, but
that match shows some signs of weakness. A lot of things have. It'll
be entertaining to see how long this threat lasts before things go
kaput, if they ever do.
The King of the Ring match-ups are going great. Although I think
they lack more of a face against face and heel against heel
attitude, I really feel it's because of the fact that no one really
has themselves developed enough to really start some of those
matches yet.
Tag Team Turmoil on RAW will be great. I know it. The gWo may get
another chance for the title.
I think the IC title stipulation needs to be changed. The main event
should consist of the heavyweight title match, not the IC title.
The FFAWF needs to use more of its talent. It was nice to see Leon,
mog, Batt, just to name a few, being used on Smackdown! They all
seem that they could be main-eventers. The Council of Doom should be
good.
Draggy seems to be developing into a main-eventer, but I don't know
if he can really hold it up. He seems more the Vince McMahon type,
but then again, anything can happen the FFAWF. Guess we'll have to
see the crowd reaction from upcoming matches.
mog made a great debut against Draggy. More likely than not it's a
sign that he's joined the gWo along with BDA, but who knows?
I can't wait for lain/Megami, Darkstar/Mako, Pat/Vormav, and all the
other tag teams that will be facing off in the Tag Team Turmoil on
RAW.
There seems to be lacking some storylines for a few people, but that
should be work outed rather shortly.
The Alliance seems to be forming between Draggy's group of
wrestlers. It should be interesting how this face factions deals
with the gWo. I'm pretty sure a lot of epic battles with ensue. If
they don't, then I'll be.
Well, this ends the first edition of the Garamond Report. Have any
questions? Just ask. They may be answered next time on the Garamond
Report! Do do do!
