Energon: GOD RODIMUS and GOD INFERNO

added GOD INFERNO section
My Energon Powerlinx configuration for Rodimus and Inferno. For lack of a better name, I call him GOD RODIMUS. With an arsenal that would make Unicron soil his metal pants, I like to think that God Rod could take out any group of Decepticons stupid enough to get within his firing range. He's armed with Rodimus, Hot Shot, and Inferno's rifles, along with the guns & rifles that came with the Japanese Landcross figures. In some of the later pics I also plugged on the Emergency Minicon team (Japanese orange & black redeco). God Rod is also seen with my only (opened) toy Matrix, which came with the Mega SCF Hot Rod figure. A bit small, but it gets the point across.
This is for all those who disliked Energon Rodimus and Inferno, or their combined modes... I think they're awesome in all six forms (two vehicles, two robots, two combined robots)...
GOD RODIMUS
- Here they are in their normal vehicle and robot modes. The black rifle belongs to Landcross, the reddish one is Hot Shot's.
- GOD RODIMUS, heavily armed. Inferno's arms can be out, for that "Shiva" look, or rotated behind the back. Hot Shot and Rodimus' rifles can be jammed into the openings above the claws. Just place one into the open space and twist it around, it sort of "clicks" in place.
- GOD RODIMUS with a slightly different back weapons pose, and without hand-held weapons. You can see his claws better in this pic. His arms have much more movement than you may think... and those claws look a heck of a lot better than the goofy arms he's supposed to have when Powerlinxed.
- Back view of God Rod. Inferno's head neatly tucks under Rodimus' split chest portion. You have to bend that part down a bit to get it to look right. Inferno's arms can be posed a few different ways, and can hold stuff when back there.
- This I call the "spider attack" or hellfire mode. GOD RODIMUS goes airborne, swivels his legs around, and lays the smackdown on the Decepticons! A raging ball of brown... er, a raging ball of furious Autobot metal!
- Starscream has an unfortunate encounter with GOD RODIMUS... (Slight warning: Starscream curses.) Notice the addition of the Japanese redeco of the Emergency Minicon team to GOD RODIMUS.
- GOD RODIMUS gains possession of the Autobot Matrix of Leadership...
- "You've got the touch... you've got the power!" GOD RODIMUS holds aloft the Matrix...
- ...then opens his chest panels to place the Matrix inside him.
- The next Autobot leader is forged! New abilities are bestowed upon him. The Spark of Combination within Rodimus allows him to unlock power and formations previously unseen... well, you've just seen them in the pics above. ;) And yes I'm aware that the Matrix shouldn't be viewable if it was just placed behind Rodimus' panel. That panel won't close on it, plus it's more interesting if you can see it through Inferno's window :-P
GOD INFERNO
- GOD INFERNO... ready to flame the internet trolls... er, Decepticons.
- Slightly different pose for GOD INFERNO. Brought the Rodimus' arms/weapon hands to the sides. Also has the Hot Shot rifle's targeting piece added on to the back weapons.
- GOD INFERNO targeting some unfortunate Decepticon...
- That targeting piece can be rotated up and out of the way.
- The "spider attack" or hellfire mode for GOD INFERNO. Not as cool as it is for God Rod, since those Rodimus arms look smaller in this combination.
- Jet booster mode! Galvatron demonstrated in TF: The Movie that a weapon can also be used as propulsion. (Besides knowing some physics ;) Also placed the Hot Shot rifle targeting piece on the side of the Landcross rifle. Those guns make good hand weapons for the Energon (and Armada) toys...
- Jet booster, side view. The feet panels are flipped down, like there are thursters in his feet or something.
- Jet booster, back view. Yeah, it's big, but he's damn fast too.
- GOD INFERNO doesn't get the Matrix because... well... he's not a leader like Rodimus. Also it would look like someone was trying to remove the matrix from his crotch, if it was placed behind Rodimus' waist panel ;)
Why the bold text for their names? Just because...
