Interesting Features: This is the 6th largest Cathedral in the world and second largest in the United States. It is 514 feet long. The central tower rises 676 feet above sea level. This is the highest point in the District of Columbia. There are more then 200 stained-glass windows.
Personal Observations: I have been here 4 or 5 times to capture gargoyles. There is an insane amount of them covering this church. The Cathedral is camera, tripod and child friendly. The encourage photography and will suggest places to shoot. If you can get here before 11:00 you may be able to take advantage of sunlight coming through the stained-glass windows.
