In the Burgapai Temple

Moria, Burgapai Temple

You have stepped in a appears to be an old crypt. Many alcoves line the wall where dwarves use to be buried. NOw their bodies have been lined with the one of the sacrifices to the Balrog. In the northern wall of the room rests a 10 feet tall statue of the flaming demon, glaring at all who enter the room. All around it, a pit of fire constantly licks the mighty statue. Below it stands a dias for the shaman to address the uruks. Above the alcoves are many painted scenes from orc history. The resurection of the balrog being the most detailled one.

Bachvar is standing on the raised dais, holding his staff in both hands, while looking towards the statue. His back is towards you, obstucting you view of the flame-ringed statue, partially.

Balkuur enters the temple and sees the shaman and is glad that the Master Smith prepared the Knife as ordered. Wordlessly he approaches the shaman an waits to be recognised.

Garj looks about the room, slowly surveying it's interior before cautiously entering the chamber. He sees the smith-thief that had attacked him recently and slowly walks up towards the statue, in the direction of the shaman.

Hearing the two uruks enter, Backvar becomes silent, lowers his staff, and turns around. The hood is still drawn up over his head, and the cloak wraps about him tightly. Two red dots poke out of the overhangiing hood. Seeing his recent acquaintence amongst a small group of uruks, he approaches Balkuur, and speak lowly, "Is it ready yet?"

Balkuur nods affirmative and reaches into the leather pouch to produce it. It is exactly as ordered. Balkuur hefts it one last time and appreciates the look and feel of this half iron half stone dagger. Grabbing the blade end the brings his forearm up and lays the handle on it facing the shaman. He bows his head slightly and offers the blade to him.

Garj smirks at the stupid ceremony the smith is doing. Garj thinks to himself that he would rather throw the knife into some elf.

Bachvar grins in pleasure unseen, and accepts the knife from the smith. Holding it up tothe light, he examines it, and nods complete approval. Reaching forward, he places two fingers on Balkuur's forehead, and mutters some unintelligable words, before switching back to uruk, "<Uruk> Well done, young one. The work is just as asked. The Dark One thanks you." Removing his fingers from Balkuur's head, he turns to Garj, and asks, "<Uruk> What is it that you find so amusing? This knife binds rock and iron, and will be the perfect dagger for the sacrifice of..." He trails of there, as though remembering a secret. He then turns back to the dais, to ascend it.

Garj speaks up across the temple. "<Uruk> You sacrifice for the Balrog, no? Have you ever seen it? I have and I have the scars to prove it. I am the prophet Garj, and I have come to speak with you."

Bachvar stops dead in his tracks, and spins around, "<Uruk> So it is you? You are the one we were told of? Impressive. The fire devil let you live. Amazing. What would you speak about?"

Bachvar senses, "Garj grins a wide grin fully displaying his array of yellowed teeth. He walks up towards the dias and approaches the shaman. "I wish to speak with you about helping us rebuild our temple in the lair of the Valnul. You are obviously wise in the ways of the shaman, and we may look kindly if you would send an apprentice of yours to work with us. I have not yet spoken with our Chieftain, though. This is a simple request, no?""

Bachvar nods a few times, and glances at the balrog statue quickly, before responding, "<Uruk> Yes, that could be done. I will have to consult my brethren, and the Lord Vorshag, but i think it will be possible. How badly damaged is it?"

Bachvar senses, "Garj grins almost imperceptibly. "We were just now uncovering the debris when we found a great beast. I fought it well, but with all my companions killed around me, I was forced to retreat. We will have the beast cleared out as soon as we can gather our forces. Until then, we do not know the extent of the damages. Our healer and Chieftain Zorugg the Warlord will of course have the final say in the matter. I am only asking now to see if we have your support....if needed.""

Bachvar says in Uruk, "Indeed, you do." ** **** ***** ** *** ******* *** ***** *** * bit, before turning back to Garj,"The dark one calls. I must listen. Leave me be!""
