So, we now have knowledge of the troops one can field as an Empire general, but this is not enough. More than any other army, the Empire must be hired as an army, not a collection of units, regardless of their individual strength. Therefore we will now explore some of the tactics and techniques that can be applied to defeat all of those who seek to oppose Sigmar’s might.
Note that most of the following tactics rely on forcing the enemy into a situation where he has no good options. Strong missile fire is a very useful, almost necessary, component in armies which use these tactics because it prevents the enemy from simply waiting for help to arrive.
The Counter-Charge Trap

The Trap is one of the most common tactics that the Empire should employ. Learn it well! It can be used against any enemy, but is most effective when employed against a foe which can be broken in melee combat. The reasoning is that the Trap generally relies on shock troops who are not suited for long combats. The simplest form of the Trap involves a bait unit who will annoy or threaten the enemy and then flee from the enemy’s charge, so that the teeth unit can then charge the enemy. With cavalry, my favorite bait unit is a group of pistoliers, with a group of Winged Lancers as the teeth. Deploy the Winged
