We're all on the same team; cooperation counts, and kindness is contagious. |
Raise your hand. Do not interrupt the teacher or the student who "has the floor." Listen carefully to lessons, directions, and announcements. Participate respectfully and helpfully in class discussions and group work. Don't expect others to do your part whether in writing or in discussions. |
Use your time wisely. If you finish an assignment and no other work has been given, read a book. |
Honesty is the best policy--helpful honesty. |
Use objects properly. Ask before you use; borrow, but then return. |
Return progress reports or any sign-and-return promptly. |
Act cautiously and considerately on stairs. Walking inside prevents accidents. Act maturely and seriously during fire drills. No chair tipping or other unsafe or disruptive behavior. |
Leave games, toys, trading cards, electronic devices, etc. at home unless with permission from Mrs. Cannon. Enjoy chewing your gum and eating seeds at home, not in the classroom. |
Respect and cooperate with the teachers, substitutes, and other staff members. Respect the work, feelings, and property of others by not disturbing, talking without permission, or harassing in any manner. |
Keep your hands and feet to yourself; no touching, hitting, scratching, throwing things, etc., inside the classroom or outside. No making faces or using inappropriate language--loud, vulgar, abusive, insulting, or suggestive. |
Be prompt, prepared, polite, productive, pleasant, and appropriate. |
