The Endless Desert is the southern border of the land, and a formidable barrier it is. One can travel for days in clear weather and the surroundings seem just as same as at the beginning. However, clear weather for more than two days is a rarity. Great storms that are created in the warm moist air over the Great Lagoon roll in, building strength as they go. It is said these storms make the wind slice into unprotected skin, and the air turns as black as night even at midday. Yet there are those who live in this vast wasteland, travelers who know its secrets and emerge only rarely in the City of Lagoon to trade, but never do they tell their secrets of the desert. |
