The people of the Jungle of Cat have but one city, and this is Jungle City. Of course it has a much grander title in their own language, but none of their people who speak the common language can find a suitable translation. Neither can they find a translation for what to call themselves. So others call them the People of Cat, or the Cat People. This is not to imply that they are cats, but a great many big cats do live within this jungle and in this city, and it seems that these people have formed a sort of symbiotic relationship with them. These are perhaps the most savage people to be found in the land, and many strange sights can be found in their capitol city. |
