| Activies in the area: Fishing is free to hotel guests. We have exclusive access to many lochs including Loch Fearna, Badanloch, nan-Clar and Rimsdale giving about six miles of fishing. Saller hill lochs are available for those who appreciate a challenge and these include Lochs Rhifail, Ganeigh, Col Lochs Mor and Beg as well as the easily accessible Lochs Rossail and Palm. Bird Watching in the moors and forests around the hotel or at the RSPB reserve at Forsinard. We regularly see eagles, buzzards, merlins as well as plover, woodcock, geese and ducks of all descriptions. Walking in the Straths Halladale, Naver and Kildonon and on the hills in which the Garvault Hotel sits. Or visit the spectacular West and North Coasts with fantastic beaches and sea cliffs. Wildlife abounds in the form of wild red deer, otters in the streams, badgers in the forest and, if you are very luckey, a glimpse of a wild cat on the hill at dusk! |
