My friends Sharon Wallace and Jan Phillips introduced me to JR during the
summer of 2004. JR lived in a nursing home 15 miles south from Taylorville
Illinois, where I was living. JR was living in a nursing home named
Prairie Rose in Pana Illinois. In 1984 JR's car was hit by a train at a
railroad crossing, and he suffered severe head trauma, so severe that
part of his brain had to be put back into his skull. Since JR lived in
another town, I only got to visit JR three or four times, during the brief
friendship we had. I really grew fond of JR, he was like a younger brother
that I never had. I know he is with Jesus, and whenever I go to heaven JR
and I will have eternity to get to know each other. I will miss him dearly!

In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told
you I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also
may be where I am.
John 14:2-3 (NIV)
