Geocities a division of Yahoo provides 15 MB of free space
in addition to its online tools that help you build your own home page. This site is one of the
friendliest sites that you can use to build your website. The only set back to this site is that the space
is limited, specially if you are planning on adding photos to your website.
Tripod
Tripod a division of Lycos is another site that provides you up to
50 MB of free space to build your own web page. This site is friendly to use, but this site is really
slow. I had problem viewing pages I did upload to this site.
Webshots
If you like to have full size images as wallpaper or for screen saver, or you want to put your own images as a screen saver or wallpaper, then this site is for you. In here, you will find a large selection of images (more than 2000 images from all subjects such as:
Nature, Ocean Life, Sports, Horses, Flowers, Travel, and many more.
The site contains its own images as well as other members contributions to the
selection.

This site provides a lot of links to free download sites. The downloads are
available for PC, Mac, and Linux. The downloads include but not limited to:

This is another site where you can download a lot of shareware, and demo software.

This site provides free banner design. The selection is limited, but this site does provide few cool banners.
