14th Kansas Cavalry, Co. F


CLEMMER, ISAIAH M., Private
Isaiah M. Clemmer resided in Paola, Kansas and enlisted on August 6, 1863 and was mustered into Co. F.  He died at Fort Smith, Arkansas on December 9, 1863.

1st Michigan Cavalry, Co. A and M

CLEMMER, DAVID W., Captain 
David W. Clemmer resided in Dowagiac, Michigan where he enlisted at age 24 on August 12, 1861 with the rank of 1st Sergeant.  He was mustered into Co. M of 1st Michigan Cavalry on September 9, 1861.  David was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on November 12, 1862 and to Captain on May 2, 1863.  He was made acting Assistant Inspector General, 1st Brigade, 1st Division in November 1863.  David was discharged on December 14, 1864.

CLEMMER, NATHAN B., Farrier 
Nathan B. Clemmer enlisted as a Farrier on October 22, 1863 in Clinton, Michigan. He was mustered into Co. A of 1st Michigan Cavalry on October 23, 1863.  Nathan was admitted to Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan on June 26, 1865.  He was discharged on August 4, 1865.

8th Minnesota Infantry, Co. B 

CLEMMER, DANIEL S., Private
Daniel L. Clemer enlisted on August 18, 1862 as a Private and was listed as 28 years old.  He mustered into Co. B of the 8th Minnesota Infantry on November 11, 1862.   He mustered out on July 11, 1865 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

Michael Klemmer enlisted in Co. K, 30th Missouri Infantry and served honorably.

3rd New Jersey Cavalry, Co. I 


KLEMMER, HENRY, Private
Henry Klemmer enlisted on January 4, 1864 as a Private and was listed as 28 years old.  He mustered into Co. I, 3rd New Jersey Cavalry on March 24, 1864.   He deserted on April 11, 1864 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

 

4th New Jersey Infantry, Co. B 

KLEMMER, JACOB, Private
Jacob Klemmer enlisted on August 9, 1861 as a Private and was mustered into Co. B of the 4th New Jersey Infantry.   He was promoted to Corporal on December 1, 1861 and to Sergeant on August 1, 1863.  Jacob was reduced to Corporal on March 21, 1864.  He mustered out August 19, 1864.

14th New York Infantry, Co. A  (also 44th NY Infantry and 146th NY Infantry)

CLEMMER, WILLIAM, Private 
William Clemmer was a 24 year-old recruit, who enlisted at Utica, New York on August 16, 1862 and mustered into Co. A, 14th New York Infantry.  He was later transferred to Co. A, 44th New York Infantry on June 23, 1863. When the 44th was disbanded on October 11, 1864, he enlisted in Co. H, 146th New York Infantry.  William mustered out on June 3, 1865 in Alexandria, Virginia.

 

80th New York Infantry, Co. F 

KLEMMER, JOHN, Private
John Klemmer's age was listed as 32 years old when he enlisted on February 7, 1864 as a Private at Kingston, New York.  He mustered into Co. F, 80th New York Infantry on February 25, 1864.  He mustered out on January 29, 1866 at Portsmouth, Virginia.

CLEMMER, GEORGE M., Private 
George W. Clemmer was 24 years-old when he enlisted as a Private on August 26, 1861 and mustered into Co. G.  He was mustered out on September 12, 1864 in Atlanta, Georgia.

CLEMMER, WASHINGTON, Private 
Washington Clemmer enlisted at the age of 19 into Co. E on January 4, 1864.  He was discharged on June 4, 1865. 

 

29th Ohio Infantry, Co. G

CLEMMER, JOHN S., Major 
John S. Clemmer was listed as 35 years-old when he enlisted as a Captain on September 30, 1861 . On December 30, 1861, he was mustered into Co. G, 29th Ohio Infantry.  He was promoted to Major the following day and transferred from Co. G to Field and Staff.  He resigned on December 12, 1862.

Charles Clemmer enlisted on January 23, 1864 as a 16 year-old Private.  No further records and date and method of discharge not given.

 

91st Ohio Infantry, Co. I  

CLEMMER, JACOB E., Private 
Jacob E. Clemmer was 18 years old when he enlisted on August 11, 1862 as a Private.  He mustered into Co. I, 91st Ohio Infantry on September 7, 1862.  He mustered out on June 24, 1865 in Cumberland, Maryland.

CLEMMER, THOMAS A., Private 
Thomas Clemmer enlisted as a Private on August 13, 1862.  His listed age was 24 years old.  He mustered into Co. I, 91st Ohio Infantry on September 7, 1862.  He was wounded at Opequan, Virginia on September 19, 1864.  Thomas was discharged because of disability on February 7, 1865.

 

100th Ohio Infantry, Co. D  

CLEMMER, JOSEPH A., Private 
Joseph A. Clemmer was 44 years old when he enlisted on July 28, 1862 as a Private.  He was mustered into Co. D, 100th Ohio Infantry on September 7, 1862.  He was promoted to Corporal on November 28, 1862 but reduced to ranks on December 14, 1862.  He was discharged on March 5, 1865 at Wilmington, North Carolina.

David M. Clemmer was 28 years old when he enlisted on May 2, 1864 as a Private.  He mustered into Co. B of the 131st Ohio Infantry on May 14, 1864.  He mustered out on August 25, 1864 at Camp Chase, Ohio.

Samuel W. Clemmer enlisted and mustered into Co. A, 76th Pennsylvania Infantry on July 16, 1863.  He was discharged on June 9, 1865.

CLEMMER, DANIEL W., Corporal 
Daniel W. Clemmer enlisted on September 24, 1863 as a Corporal and mustered in that same day into Co. C, 97th Pennsylvania Infantry.  He mustered out on August 28, 1865 in Weldon, North Carolina.
