Digimon Basic Info

I'm not going to name all of the characters, since there's too many, but I will name most of the humans. My sections on Seasons 3 and 4 only have the most basic information, a quote from Takato, and a comment from myself. The charts I made may be more useful to people who've already seen it all, but have forgotten somethings; who knows?

Season 3 Digimon Tamers (Reality)

Season 3 takes place in the world as it was in reality when season 3 aired. In Season 3, Season 1 and 2 are just a tv show called Digimon. I'm unsure if 'digimon tamers' is something that the kids made up for fun, or if they got it from a Digimon videogame or something. Since 'tamer' wasn't a term on the tv show (seasons 1 and 2), I've always wondered how the kids came up with name 'Digimon Tamers.' Anyway, in season 3, a group of college students created Digimon as an artifical intelegence project. Digimon were supposed to fight each other and upload the loosers data to get more powerful as in a videogame. After the Digimon project was shut down because it was too dangerous, Digimon started to bioemerge into the real world from the internet. Now it is the job of a secret government organization called Hypnos to get rid of the Digimon or send them back to the digital world (internet).

Takato seems to be the number one fan of Digimon. He makes up his own digimon by drawing it, and calls it Guilmon. Takato: "Red is definitely the Power Color."

Kazu and Kenta are shown playing the Digimon card game with Takato in the first episode. Kazu gives others the name of 'Chun Lee' or 'Chung Lee' sometimes, and seems to be the leader of Kenta. There is hardly a time where these two aren't together, and I believe that it is mainly these two, Impmon, and Terriermon that crack all the jokes in season 3.

In the begining: Jeri is the only main character besides Yamaki that isn't a fan of Digimon (I guess that also depends on how you define main character).

Henry chooses to play as Terriermon in a Digimon videogame that his dad buys him. Unlike Terriermon and Rika, Henry doesn't like to fight.

Yamaki wants to exterminate all Digimon. He believes that Digimon are menace to society that should never have come into the real world.

Season 4 Digimon Frountier (no relation)

Season 4 doesn't have any relation to the other seasons. The digital world has a totally different history than the other seasons, and the kids need spirits to evolve themselves into digimon. That means no more partner Digimon, and the original digidestined shown in season 1 had partner digimon. People evolving into Digimon took some time for me to get used to. Strange concept, if you ask me, but that's part of what I like about digimon. It always makes me look at things from a different point of view, or perhaps that's what I choose to do. Now, I'm reminded of Shibumi for some reason. hmm Shibumi+Jeni+Blue cards= ?
