| Once upon a time... This is a very neat story the way things happened to fall into place. Kat and Laura, who were teammates, were both excited about coming to the University of Florida. Heather and Jodi, also teammates, shared the same feeling. When Laura came up for orientation, she was very surprised to see Dana. Since there was no collegiate synchro team in the state, Dana and Laura asked about starting a club and got some information packets. They basically planned on trying to start a club themselves. Laura's mom, Laurie Maurer, came to Gainesville to score for Sunshine State Games. It was there she met up with Jennie Harper who was very interested in starting a synchro team. She gave Laura's mom her number and asked for Laura to call her as soon as she got into town. Ironically, Kat and Heather got paired as random roommates. So, Laura got in touch with Jennie, and Jennie said that Katie Rozofsky was at UF also and wanted to join our team. It's so amazing how everything just fell together without much trouble at all. Everyone began practicing together and formed the greatest team ever!!!! =) the end |
