It is a good store if it wants to be one. But it gets most of its character from the place it is in. I could place the same store in a different part of NYC ... and suddenly the message would seem entirely different. The stuff they make their dosas off is certainly nice. I feel one should look at the french creperie as well when deciding how to make a dosa based restaurant in NYC. I did find it quite to my taste in my trip to France. And NYC has the luxury of being able to pull off any mix and match stuff and yet not upset any loyalists of a cuisine.
