Gauri Guha is an acclaimed Indian classical singer and teacher, who has performed througout Internationally over the last 30 years.

Gauri has been studying Hindustani classical music from a very early age and still considers herself a student.

In the past she has been a disciple of Pandit A. Kanan of the Sangeet Research  Academy in Calcutta.

Currently she studies with the world-renowned Pandit Ajoy Cakraborty, who is a resident teacher of the Sangeet Research Academy.

She obtained first class in Sangeet Visharad, (Bachelor of Music) from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith, Lucknow, India.

Gauri has also obtained an M.A. degree in Bengali Literature from Jadavpur University, India.

In addition to numerous live performances, she has also been a regular artist of All India Radio and Indian Television till she migrated to Canada in 1982, where she continues to do the occasional live program.

Gauri was also sent by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations to the Cultural Center in Guyana, South America for 3 years (1977-1980) as a cultural officer and music teacher.
