welcome to the world of international breakbeat.

the breaks scene is massive in australia - with nubreed being the scene leaders down under.

'in one word - brilliant' inpress melbourne (aus)

nubreed have consistently set the pace in oz, thanks in no small part to their shapeshifting songwriting ability. they have transformed what had traditionally been considered a club based sound into 'proper songs' - coupled with their awesome live ability (they play to crowds of 10 000+), this has established nubreed as the leading, most progressive exponents of an influential and rapidly expanding scene (*nubreed were nominated for best live act, best debut artist & best single at the australian dance music awards).

'hauntingly moving' mixer magazine (u.s.a)

long feted by the likes of adam freeland (nubreed have remixed for marine parade) hybrid, sasha, bt, way out west & timo maas, nubreed are at the centre of a strong melbourne scene which also includes infusion (signed to marine parade). and of course the breaks cognoscenti (freq/plumps/freeland/tayo et al) now all 'winter' in australia...

nubreed are jase, mykel & db. together they have chalked up an impressive remix c.v, with tiësto & junkie xl, scritti politti, way out west, apex and skunk anansie all receiving the nubreed treatment in the past 2 years. this short time has also seen the release of a handful of globally acclaimed 12's, including the brilliant welcome, food for thought, d.zire, ionosphere & neptune beach. there will also be 2 ep's preceding this debut album - bring that sound and qurious. the boys also turned in an amazing live mix with phil k for (big fan) annie nightingale on her radio one show.

in signing to mob recordings, nubreed are making their intentions crystal clear - and their intentions are global...
