The Name: Gavitygirl
Every once in a while on the WW
100+ board, someone does a poll. How did you come up with your
screen name? What does it mean? This is my favorite poll of
ALL TIME!
IT IS A TYPEO!!!!
That is right. I'm not really Gavitygirl. I wanted to be
Gravitygirl. You know, gravity. That force of nature that
keeps us all right here on planet Earth and not flying out into
space. Since I first arrived on the internet scene in 1997, I
have almost always had the screen name Gravity. Or Gravitygirl if
Gravity is already taken. Not GAVITY. What the hell is
gavity anyway?
I was so excited when I was signing up for WW online, that I made a
typo. The funny part of this whole thing is that Jim and I always
call typos "Fat Finger Errors!" So here I am signing up for WW
and I have a Fat Finger Error. It took me a while to realize
it. I kept trying to sign in with Gravitygirl and kept getting
the error message. When I figured it out, I was MORTIFIED!
Every time I thought about it, I thought FAT FINGER ERROR!
AHHHHHH!
I contacted the tech support folks. Since my credit card info was
already tied to Gavitygirl, they couldn't change it. I could
either let it expire and sign up again (and loose all of my saved info)
or just create a free account for posting on the message boards.
Which I did. But got tired very quickly of changing log ins all
of the time.
So Gavitygirl it is. Fat Finger Error and all.
