Yet again Referee A Legg was the focal point of the game and Bromley were victim to most of his inept and ridiculous decisions, but it should all have been so different had The Ravens had taken their chances in the first 25mins. For that spell they totally dominated the match, missed a bag full of chances and once again paid the price for it. For straight after that spell of dominance Leatherhead broke quickly down the left and a low cross found the excellent Chabaan who slotted home for 0-1. Yet again Bromley turned on the pressure, but nothing fell right and they were suckered on the break just before the half, when Luckett was caught out of position and Ruggles cut in and put a soft shot past Martini into the net. 0-2 at the break and Bromley fans in shock!
7 mins into the second half and Kirk Watts got on the end of a Lester cross that was knocked down by Amoako into his path. At 1-2 it looked like The Ravens were coming back into the game, but on the hour Ref Legg awarded The Tanners a very dubious penalty and compounded the insult by sending Martini off. The ball was well gone when Leatherhead’s forward threw himself on the floor in desperation and the Ref couldn’t wait to oblige. Harwood replaced Vines and nearly saved the penalty, but it just crept in. Bromley were all over the shop and 5 mins later a quick break down the right was turned in at the near post, the goal given despite the linesman flagging. The 10 men came back into the game and mounted some good attacks, but still lacked the final touch. McIntyre was sent off from the dugout and Grant Watts booked after Leatherhead’s bench had goaded then following the fourth goal. Grant came on and on 90 mins converted a penalty for 2-4, Mackie was sent off for the challenge and yet again this was a poor decision by Mt Legg! The near 10 mins saw Bromley pile forward, but to no avail and the game finished with Bromley fans feeling cheated and frustrated.
