BASHLEY 0 BROMLEY 3 - LEAGUE - 02/04/05

Bromley made the trip down to the New Forest to face a young Bashley side and came away with another vital three points in their last ditch play off bid.

Playing 4-4-2 Bromley went for it straight from the kick off and put Bash under pressure. The deadlock was broken after only 3 mins when Potterill put in a low cross for Tommo on his returning debut to pounce from close range. Bromley continued to take the initiative and Tommo was on hand again to make it 2-0 on 17 mins, when a Potterill throw was flicked on by Falana and spectacularly volleyed home by the veteran striker. Bashley's keeper Elm was felled soon after when Tommo challenged him for another Falana flick on. After lengthy treatment he carried on, but the game slowed down for a spell and Bromley relaxed a little bit too much. They regained their focus only after Walker made a great save at the other end. Just before the break Tommo could have made it a hat trick but steered his shot just wide following great work by George and Falana.

The Ravens continued to dominate the match in the second half, Tommo went close again and the whole team seemed to be on top of their game. Okafor got booked for a heavy challenge on Allen that saw the youngster have to go off, but this was one blemish on an otherwise great performance alongside the solid Henriques at the back. Bromley made it 3-0 on 63 mins when a scramble in the box saw the ball come to George who reacted quickly to turn the ball into the net. The final score could have been more when Falana volleyed a Drewett cross against the bar and Elm saved well from Tommo. George and Billy rang the changes late on switching to 4-3-3 and Amoako and Hind looked lively up front with Harding running all over the place in midfield. This was a fine win by Bromley and a great day out for the fans.
