An injury and suspension hit Bromley side put on a remarkable display of resilience at high flying Harlow and came away with 3 points! The game itself was not much of a spectacle played at the soulless athletics arena in murky conditions it did its best to match the surroundings. Bromley stuck in to their task of spoiling and counter attack from the off with great effect. The only goal came on 26 mins when a high ball in the box from Harris fell to Gibson who placed his shot past Hasell in the goal. This seemed to take everyone by surprise! Harlow had the best of the possession and Bromley only retained their lead thanks to the form of Harwood who made a number of great saves. In the second half Harlow yet again piled on the pressure, but the Ravens defence was equal to it and Harwood came to the rescue when needed. The midfield scrapped and fought for every ball and this spilt over into a couple of flare ups late on. Taylor and Gibson ran their hearts out up front chasing clearances and the occasional counter attack. This was a display of real character and the final whistle was greeted with a great cheer on and off the pitch, and celebrations by the whole playing squad.
