WINDSOR & ETON 0 BROMLEY 1 - LEAGUE 9/11/02

A classic away performance saw Bromley keep a clean sheet against a side that had scored 13 goals in their last three games and snatch a late goal to grab all the points. Wade Falana made an impressive debut up front playing in a 4-3-1-2 formation with Bartley starting behind the strikers. Returning from injury Kirk Watts made the early moves, despite being flattened by ex-Raven Billy Manuel on his first run. He created our best chance in the first half when he squared the ball for Falana who shot straight at the Royalists keeper Bunting. Martini made several good saves, but also nearly gifted them two goals taking silly risks. Going in 0-0 at the break things looked pretty good.

In the second half Bromley stepped up and the Vines and Saunders combination at the back was truly awesome, with displays of intelligence, strength and pace. Falana had to go off injured on the hour to be replaced by Grant Watts Who also put in a fine display. Martini made three more great saves before, with only 6 mins left, a corner sailed over Bunting and sub Amoako turned the ball in from inside the six yard box. For one moment it looked like the Ref had disallowed the goal, but after consulting his Linesman the goal was judged as good and The Ravens got the win they had worked so hard for.

Right on the final whistle Amoako made a fantastic run down the right and cut into the box with Luckett waiting unmarked for the ball. Adolph tried to score himself but scuffed it, and was on the end of a furious outburst from a couple of players. Shame as it kind of took the shine off the celebrations at the end.
