A very encouraging and solid display against a hard working Hastings side managed by George Wakeling. Both Keepers were in brilliant form, Harwood answered a lot of his critics with some great saves. Side and Gibson played up front and worked tirelessly, both having good chances saved late on. Veli Hakki came on as sub and looked good in midfield, as did Kirk Watts. Optimism returned to the Lane.
