BECKENHAM TOWN 0 BROMLEY 0 – FRIENDLY – 15/03/05
This one is best forgotten quickly! We only got away with a draw thanks to former Raven Paul Vines missing an open goal in the first half!
Beckenham had the best of the early play and put us under pressure, but apart from the one miss, Walker was up to anything else that came his way. Bromley playing 4-5-1 just didn’t have enough up front and lacked any decent final balls. Harding ran his socks off up front as the lone striker, but looked hopelessly out of his depth. As the half went on Luckett, Drewett and Logan were all denied by good saves, but it was pretty lacklustre stuff.
The second half saw Bromley play the ball around, but there were no real chances on goal and Becks reserve keeper John-Paul Green had nothing to do! The Bromley players grew increasingly more frustrated with each other and the fans shared the same feeling. We really missed Adolph and Danny Carroll.
