CORINTHIAN CASUALS 0 BROMLEY 0 – LEAGUE 18/01/03

On the whole this was pretty disappointing stuff from a Raven point of view. We only got out of there with a point thanks to Martini making a fine penalty save and an even better stop from the rebound just before half time. Up to that point we had the better chances, but found Casuals keeper Hotchkiss in equally good form making saves from Amoako and a fiercely swerving Myatt corner. The Ref’s decisions were, to say the least, perplexing all game, but he was right to give a penalty for Harney’s clumsy foul. 0-0 at half time thanks to Chuck! As Myatt & Watts walked off they squared up to each other! Still there were hopes for better after the break.

These hopes increased initially when Hotchkiss produced great saves from a Myatt volley and a Vines header, before Amoako saw an effort scrambled off the line twice. But that was as good as it got and the game descended into a hit and hope scrappy affair. The Bromley fans' exasperation was compounded with 8 mins to go when Falana was clearly pulled back by Hotchkiss, which the Officials ignored, but the Linesman did wake up in time to see Wade slap the keeper as he ran past him and this offence resulted in his second yellow card, which saw The Ravens finish the game with only Buckeridge up front.

Casuals missed two good chances to score late on and once again Bromley fans were left shaking their heads as nearly all 3 points were lost.
