TONBRIDGE ANGELS 0 BROMLEY 3 – KENT SNR CUP 19/11/02

A stylish away performance saw us win our way through to the next round of the KSC, luckily for us Portway was not in their line up! The only dampener on a good night for The Ravens was Bartley being subbed after less than 30 mins and seemingly walking out of the club. He had been spat at and abused by two Tonbridge defenders before being bollocked by Macca and then walked off the pitch!

Bromley had the better of a goalless first half, with Amoako and sub Addavali going close, but Harwood was called on to make two great saves also. Watts was taken out when running clear on goal early on, but amazingly the lenient Ref only chose to book the assailant.

Just after the break Drewett was pulled back in the box and Myatt smashed his penalty down the middle under the keeper and put us in front. On 52 mins Drewett scored himself, after combining well with Amoako and drilling home from 10 yards. Harwood again made a couple of good saves before Amoako got the goal he deserved at the second attempt from close range after great wing play from Watts. The Ravens could possibly have had another before the end, but Addavali just missed his header from a Drewett cross, who must have been man of the match. The final whistle was greeted with a great cheer from the HLO’s, with most of The Angels fans already having left.
