BROMLEY 1 THAME UNITED 1 – LEAGUE 24/11/01

A tight affair at The Nest, which saw us boss the game for nearly an hour before letting Thame back in, and then the game fell away into a draw. Bartley had a fine headed goal disallowed but soon scored on 35mins, slotting the ball into the corner of the net after good work by Hughes. Bromley could have added to the lead, but failed to put in the final ball. At the other end Harwood put on a rather eccentric, but effective display heading, punching and kicking attacks clear! The Ravens started the second half brightly until the hour, when Harris conceded what looked a soft penalty and Jones put it away. Much to the joy of the one Thame fan present. Myatt had an impressive game along with Hughes and Bartley, but man of the match must have been Dean Frost who made some great challenges and looked very solid. Another point for BFC, but it could have been three.

Quote for the game, ‘I want to see more Watts wicked wing wizardry!’
