The only person allowed to shine in this one was the awful Referee Mr A Legg! He gave a performance that was at best incompetent and at worst down right biased! Capping his display with the 81st minute sending off of Danny Smith with a straight red card for one poor foul!
The returning Adolph Amoako was Bromley’s star with a display of hard running and commitment up front which he crowned with a goal on 47mins.
Chasing a through ball from Grant Watts he beat the keeper and then held off a defender to roll the ball in to put The Ravens 1-0 up. The game up to that point had seen both teams have plenty of the ball, but really fail to make any clear chances before the break. Former Bromley player Wes Cain hit the bar with a curling long distance drive and Amoako had a lob over the keeper cleared off the line before Webb cashed in on a free kick for another non-existent foul and equalised on 80mins. Then came the sending off, but with 10 men Bromley still had a couple of opportunities from free kicks earned by Sub Eddie Akuamoah who gave a promising display. Lester had great game at right wing-back and Chuck was faultless even under intimidation.
So we do it all again on Tuesday and prey for a better refereeing display!
