A pretty lively first half saw Bromley have the better of the play, but struggle to break down a resilient Dartford who played 5-4-1. Luckett went close with two nicely struck free kicks and Kirk Watts, Akuamoah and Thompson all had good chances, but were denied by stout defending and a good display by veteran keeper Craig Tucker. Martini was eccentric and entertaining in the Bromley goal, going on a mad 30 yard run out of his box before clearing the ball out of the ground! Just before half time the best move of the match saw Drewett flick the ball over his head with his heal, beat two players and square the ball to Akuamoah in the box, but he was denied by a defensive block.
The second half was pretty scrappy but it did see two goals scored. On 53 mins Luckett his a fierce shot from outside the box which to a nasty deflection off Darts No.16 and span into the goal. The Ravens lead only lasted 11 mins when following a good move Usherwood equalised from close range. From then on the game fell away as a contest and saw many substitutions without any real chances for either side to win the game. Most people seemed puzzled by Akuamoah playing wide left and Kirk Watts playing as a central striker.
Quote for the game, ‘Your supposed to hit dead balls Myatt, not provide them!’
