BRACKNELL TOWN 0 BROMLEY 1 – LEAGUE 30/09/03

Another 1-0 win and a good first half display which should have seen us go in at the break at least four up. As it was we had to defend for most of the second half and held on to the three points due to good defending and wayward finishing from the Robins.

After an even start the Ravens playing up the slope got hold of the game and pressed Bracknell back. On 33 mins a nice move down the right saw Huggins cut into the box and drive his shot under Hutt at the near post for 1-0! Bracknell had a couple of opportunities which we handed them with silly passes on a difficult pitch, but Reid and Forbes both went close in the following minutes and Luckett lobbed just over as half time came.

In the second half Bracknell came right back into the game and pinned us back for a while, but Harwood was up to anything that came his way and their two main efforts on goal ended up outside the ground! Bromley battled their way back with Hammond and Drewett causing the home defence plenty of problems and Amoako was introduced to add extra pace towards the end. Kember and Luckett were strong in centre mid and the back four were solid as usual, with Danny Smith stepping in for the suspended Potterill. The final whistle came to a great cheer from the away end and the players showed their appreciation for those who travelled.
