First time I’ve heard Cigaretteman and I had NO idea that they had a female vocalist. The two bands on this 7” seem pretty similar in intent but despite Cigaretteman socking out sweetly on “Something Never Changed Your Mind” and rocking out full fucking throttle on “Fade Away”, Discount steal it with one of the most amazing 1-2 punches they’ve ever committed to vinyl. “My Milieu” is first and it stars like Teen Spirit but four times as fast and then open out into this majestic (I use that word too fucking much!) expanse of beauty. Female harmonies to die for.. “I’m walking away, I’m walking away this time.” This kills. And then they follow up with “I Don’t. I Do. It’s You” and things go into overdrive. I’m in seventh heaven with this single. Go get it.
