GameCube to release only two First-Party games with the release of the GameCube! |
You think that after the lack of games that were released during the release of the Nintendo 64 back in 1997, (which contrubuted to the lack of sales) they would have learnt their lesson but noooo, they had to repeat the same as the last time. In a conference which was held yesterday, Nintendo announced that there will only be two first-party (games developed by Nintendo games released on the same day as the GameCube. The two titles are; Luigi's Mansion and Wave Race: Blue Storm. They will both be released at around £45. There is a possibility that there will be some third-party games coming out aswell, but how many?. It won't be too bad because Pikmin will be released a couple of months later aswell as Super Smash Brothers: Melee but then again, can we trust Nintendo?. You know how they are always delaying games. Take Conkers Bad Fur Day. That was meant to be released in Winter 1997 but when did it come out, May 2001. That's a four year difference. Oh well, it looks like the GameCube may not do aswell as Nintendo wanted to but you never know. I'm still going to buy one though because I am a big nintendo fan (even though I have a PS2). People better start saving up their money as the GameCube will hit the stores in the U.K around Spring 2002. Will the lack of games decrease the sales of the GameCube. Only time will tell.
