| WWF Betrayal |
| A wrestling game like none other, WWF Betrayal was a definate surprise when it was revealed as part of THQ's lineup. You begin the adventure by chooseing one of four characters; Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H and The Undertaker. You then find out that someone has kidnapped the owner of WWF's daughter Stephanie McMahon, and stealing the World Heavyweight Title Belt. |
| Basically, the character that you have chose will scour the street beating up people who are causing trouble (it's a bit like Double Dragon if any of you have played that). You can beat up any of the people on the strees which varies from police men, women, thugs etc. You can even do your characters special move. Most of the people on the street will just stand still and let you beat them up. Like many of the beat 'em ups, you can destroy everyday items that are on the street. You can pick up some of the items on the street and use them as weapons, which includes trash cans, metal pipes and night sticks. |
| The graphics aren't anything to talk about but the characters are easily recognizable. The wrestlers are short and stocky people with large heads. The rock has a pronounced eyebrow and Austin wears a skull vest. |
| WWF Betrayal looks like it'll be a very enjoyable game with simplistic side-scrolling for those who are interested in seeing the WWF License put in original use. |
