Text Box: Welcome to the 2005/6 season of Glendowie Boating Club and a special welcome to this season’s new members. The Annual General Meeting was held on June 28. Thank you to those who attended. The commodore’s report was presented along with the Annual Financial Report by Susan Lowe . The budget set has ensured the only change to fees is the $10 increase to cover the new Yachting New Zealand levy. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the club to thank the outgoing committee members - James Stonyer, Steve Collett, Bob Gordon and Chris Field for the years of dedicated service they have given to GBC. We also extend our thanks to Nanda MacLaren who is stepping down as Assistant Secretary. Nanda has made sure the mailbox is cleared and banking done. In her role as Arrow Editor she collated and published our regular newsletter among other duties. Thank you for all your support. We have some new members on the committee this season: Rob Craigie, Elizabeth Andrew, Peter Todd and Deborah Tindal. An updated list of the current committee and their contact details can be found on the back page. Subscriptions Early indications show lockers are going to be at a premium this season so please ensure that the subscription form you will receive shortly is completed and returned promptly. The collecting of subs is a big job and the allocation of lockers and publishing of the year book cannot be completed until these are received. If you are not renewing your membership please let us know so we can reallocate your locker and key. If you need to sell your boat we can assist you with “resail” on our website.
