Now, you just have to do one last thing. No, don't worry, there are no rituals, no formal words, seances, or incantations. You see, God has already changed your heart. You are already his. All you have to do now is just acknowledge that to God.
This is all you have to do. Get somewhere quiet and private, perhaps your own bedroom. Close the door and get down onto your knees, and close your eyes. Just invite the Lord to come into your life. Ask for forgiveness for all the wrong you have done in your life. Recognize that you are a sinner but now have been pardoned by Christ's death. Tell him you believe that he sent his Son into this world, and that he died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. Tell him you know that Jesus is Lord. Recognize that his death on the cross was a sacrifice for you. Tell him, you believe and that you want to become a child of his. Let him know of your sincerity and that you want to become a follower of Christ. End your prayer with, "In the name of Jesus, I pray these things. Amen."
That's all. That's all there is to it.
Just be real with him. Be transparent. Let your heart do the talking, he already knows your heart. You will feel his presence. You might not audibly here him or you might not visually see him with your eyes. But trust me, he is there with you. Perhaps in Spirit standing right behind you with his nail scarred hands resting upon your shoulders. You will feel your soul be cleansed and made new. This is what it means to be "born-again". That's right, all over again, a new life, from scratch, a second chance. Only this time, with God walking by your side!
