This is the tech and mod page.  The Camaro page became too large (it's a good thing), so I put all of the tech and mod related items on this page.

First, here's a video of me running the Z down the quarter mile for the first time.  I ran it bone stock to see what it would run, and I ran a 14.42 at 94.7 mph.  Which is a CORRECTED 14.04 at 100.8 mph!!!  I posted a corrected E.T. simply because we are at about 2,300' above sea level , and this will make a difference in the time that a car will run.  I didn't think that was too shabby for a stock Z28 though!

Here are some pictures of the manual fan switch that I put in.  I decided to put the switch and the LED's in the ashtray so that they were out of the way and still functional.

The first picture is in the "off" position, the second is the low speed fan, and the third picture is the high speed fan.

All of the parts were purchased at my local Radio Shack, and total cost was just over $16.

This website is where I found the plans for the fan switch, they are very straightforward and it only took me about an hour-and-a-half to do this.

This is my new intake that I just installed, and here are the pics!

This is a cold air kit from APC.  It is designed for a Honda and I had heard that they can be adapted to fit Camaros.  The tube is a 3" diameter polished aluminum piece, and it has two "vacuum" connections on it.  It also has a conical air filter that even has an opening on the end of it.  I spoke with APC, and they said that you can use K&N's filter charger kit to clean the filter as well.  I simply got some plugs and plugged both of the vacuum connections, and then I bought a breather that fit into the tube for the A.I.R. pump.  I had to cut about 6" off of the intake tube, and then I took a Fernco 3.5" to 3" plumbing adapter and cut it in half.  The full size adapter is quite large, and I didn't want it taking up too much space.  By the way, there are no clearance issues with this system.  Like I said, it's a 3" tube, so there is no interference with the ABS, nor is there any with the hood either.  Once everything was together, I took it for a spin, and WOW!!!  I can't believe what I was missing!  Throttle response was better, and there was definitely a seat-of-the-pants difference in power.  I don't know what I did without one!  Before I put this on at WOT in 2nd gear, the Camaro felt like it was choking and losing power like it was starving for air.  Now, I get a full power band all the way through 2nd and then some!

That's all for now, I will update as I mod!
