How to get to Somalia

Transport to, from and around Somalia is mainly on qat flights
Which mostly originate from Wilson airport in Kenya.
The same airport as all the aid-agencies!!!
If you can fly with the "aid planes" do it
As Bluebird air ( the qat runners ) fly some dicey aircraft.
These flights are a more direct route to Kismaayo and the Bajuni Islands

From Dubai there are "regular" flights
Which use an old Soviet plane
Where the Passengers are squeezed in between the cargo!!
This flight is via Yemen and on to Bossaso on the Red sea.

Most facilities are available in Bossaso

Even if they are relatively simple

The diving is terrible
Except for a few patches of Coral East of Bossaso
The burnt out wrecks of Pirated ships
Are all along the coast and are an indication of the danger involved

This journey (adventure) should not be undertaken without being accompanied by a Somali.
Preferably one who belongs to the right faction............
Even this is NO Guarantee for suvival!!
