Grandpa died this morning at about 05:30. No pain, in his own house, with my father holding his hand.

I am so proud of my Dad, he took such great care of him, hardly left his side. Even though he himself was weak and tired, he went to the hospital everyday. Stayed with Grandpa since he has been home on hospice care, and cleaned him up, fetched whatever he wanted.

Most of the time he just sat and watched him. He would sit in Grandpa's chair and look into his room, if he made the slightest sound, Dad was in there.

My Dad has never forgiven himself for leaving my Grandma's bedside late at night to get some rest. Before he could get under the covers, she was gone. He used that to keep himself going, I think. He has earned even more of my respect.

Last night was American Gov't, and there's this 19 year old kid who claims to have had the instructor in high school and he teaches the same way. Okay, "Good" I thought, he says this guy is easy. Got news that my Grandpa is ill. Quite possibly terminal.

A lump was found on his liver, it is the size of a baseball. Just 1 month ago he was in the same hospital, treated by the same doctor, and had the same tests run on him. Both times they looked at his gallbladder, only this time something near the liver caught their collective eyes. Something the size of a baseball....

Am I wrong in thinking, because I don't have a PHD behind my name, that if it is cancer, it wouldn't grow so much in one month as to not be seen before but be painfully obvious now?

Trying to quit smoking and it is really becoming a challenge. I really feel bad for Rachelle, she is catching some MAJOR shit from me and being pregnant isn't helping her mood any either. It has been a bitch-fest this past week.

I am using Nicorette which I hate. I can't drink anything while chewing or 15 minutes before. What? I am from the South...we have to have a glass of sweet tea at least every half hour or they drive you north of the Mason-Dixon line and call you a traitor, or worse, carpetbagger.

This is better than the patches though. I tried them a few years ago and they made my arm, ass, leg, back, wherever I put them, ache. And in the summertime, I would sweat them off. Not very effective for fat, sweaty people.

I want to quit for two reasons, My daughter and my unborn child, for the moment known as " To Be Named Later". I need to be around later on when they get ready for really fun stuff. Been settling in at the new house. Did manage to get net access. And what net access it is. Road Runner is the shit!. Fast is not the word. Compared to my other connection, it is hyperspeed.

Price is worth it! I have gotten more done online in a couple of weeks, than I ever did with dialup.

House is ours next week.....and am in the process of building( yes, BUILDING!) our bedroom furniture.

Handmade bed, Anoir, dresser, and nightstands. Real wood, real work. My father-in-law is a master at woodworking. Thank God. He will save us about $1100.

We found a house and low and behold... It is two doors down from a really good friend of mine. One that I can play golf with, let the kids play together, and ( most importantly ) drink a few cold ones with. HAHA, SWEET!

We close on our house today and hear back from the offer we made on the house in Mempho this afternoon. We should be packing up this weekend and moving next Wednesday.

Can't wait to be back home.....
