Boy Scout Troop 263

Klondike 2008 Feb 1-3 2008: The Troop slipped into Camp Manatoc Friday Night. After spending the night in a rustic cabin, it was off to Camp Butler for the Pioneer District Klondike Derby. The Dragons had a measure of success placing 6th. The troop returned to the cabin by hiking, their route included woods and a valley. Thank You to Mr. Thrasher, Mr. Sutyak, and all the other adults (District & Troop) that make these events happen!

2008 Battle Bot Jan 19, 2008: 10 Modified RC cars faced off to be the winner! Once the ramming, crashing, and driving had stopped the winners were:   1st: Matt B    2nd: Jeff H     Voted as Baddest Bot: Alex P A big Thank You to our parent judges!

Yard Charge 2007 November 10, 2007: After meeting at Parma South the Troop & Pack were off!   Five yards were raked in Parma and Parma Hts.   After the job was done it was off to the new Taco Bell, on Pearl in Parma Hts. Next year we hope to find someone who knows their way around the city!

Roughing it at Beaumont November 2-4 2007 Arriving at Whispering Leaves camp site after dark the troop set up improvised shelters. The shelters were made with whatever tarps, stakes, ropes, and poles that were brought or could be made. After a good night's sleep, some of the troop woke up to frost on the underside of their tarps. The activities included GPS use, hiking, and cooking over the fire

The joint Pioneer / Quarrylands District Camporee September 21-23, 2007 at The Meadows of Brecksville Reservation. The troop was joined by some Webelos from Pack 263. In the patrol competition using Scouting and problem-solving skills our patrol the Ghost Busters finished 7th!
