Did You Know?

by Mechelena

Well, it is time to bring you some of those things you might not remember reading or maybe did not know. So, here it is again.

Did you Know?

That in Gor there are boards such as we have in r/t? Many things are posted on paper to them.

Billboards

Elsewhere in the room there were some free men, Scribes I gathered though they were stripped to the waist, who were inking, using a silk-screen process, large sheets of layered, glued ray paper. One of them held the sheet up inspecting it, and I saw that it was a bill, which might be pasted against the wall of a public building, or on the public boards near the markets. It advertised a sale. Other such sheets, hanging on wires, proclaimed games and tarn races. (Assassins of Gor, pg 113)
Also, even Gor had worms

slime worm

(noun): a long slow blind worm which inhabits the caverns below the Nest in the Sardar; scavenges the remains of the Golden Beetles kills (Priest-Kings of Gor, pg 186)>
Not sure if I would eat them, though, or use them for bait.

So, did you know a chain could be considered decoration and used to restrain a slave?

body chain

(noun): closely meshed length of chain about 5 feet in length which can be used in a variety of ways to bedeck or secure a slave. Some are decorated with semi-precious stones and wooden beads. Detachable lock and snap clips allow the chain to be transformed from slave jewelry to slave restraint. (Rogue of Gor, pg 71-72; Guardsman of Gor, pg 281)
Ummm I doubt us FWs would like this as jewelry for us. *winks*

Here is one if you wondered how to get a Passion slave.

passion slave

(noun): a slave girl who has been bred rather captured; specifically one that has been bred for a particular trait such as beauty or slave heat or the shape of her lips. (Priest Kings of Gor, pg 53)
Hmm and speaking of slave lips, did you know they had makeup?

lipstick

'There are one hundred and eleven basic shades of slave lipstick,' said Sucha. 'Much depends on the mood of the master.' (Slavegirl of Gor, pg 261)
Wow..that is a lot of shades.

Well, this is all for this column. Be well and enjoy Gor. Remember, it is not a chore but a lifestyle and one with great rewards when we understand its concept.
