What Do
You Think?

Once again this Roving Reporter set out about Gor to ask Goreans another delving question:

If a Master gives up a slave, what does she do with the feelings that she has developed for Him?

...and here is what T/they said:

dianna{TRK~1/Noe}, Kassar: *smiles, having had some experience with this * dianna had a Master before she was owned by the One whose kolar she wears no... dianna adored Master Koehl, and was naturally hurt when He left, but she knows in her heart that she is a slave. she was true to that knowledge, and served her new Master true to that knowledge... and after a time, the feelings for Him grew from apprehension, to fondness, to devotion...

Kaos, Kassar: ah... well then who cares what she does with it... best she just swallow it and be pleasing to her next owner...

beauty{KR}, Kassar: this girl has been in that position Mistress.. she was devastated when One that she served for a long time left Gor.. but she was claimed by Another.. a strong Master.. One who proved to her that she is slave no matter what collar she wears.. One whose strength and guidance showed her that she could channel those feelings and love into serving Another with even more devotion.. she simply is slave and can be nothing else..

flora{Kal-1), Kassar: in flora's opinion... and that could mean diddly.. she would say that if the missive had true love, dedication, and a sense of loyalty to her Master, then if He were to give up on her.. she should continue to express those feelings to the fullest.. never faltering for a moment... as slaves we do all that is possible to please... even when a Free is not happy with us, or has thrown in the reins and given up.. the slave should never compromise her slavery... she should be proud always (less the cockiness)... perhaps one day the Master would see her for what she is.. if He never does.. Another will... personally flora has never been in the position but that is how she would handle i.. she is sure of that much

Damien, Kassar: the Master is not what makes a slave a slave it is her belly ..... feelings happen I agree but she has to set those feeling aside and continue to be pleasing as she is expected to

Produes Cerlen, Forest Port: Me being a diehard Gorean Male would not care what feelings a kajira has, she is only slave meat fit for a collar of a Strong Male

malaika{NMH}, Forest Port: agrees with the Jarl, mala would pour her heart to her Master and beg Him to keep her but if Master doesn't want her then mala will move on with her life and deal with it, her Masters word is what mala goes by

Sidona Caldazar, Tharna: a slave is to have no emotions.. that is the way of Gor.. but is not so.. a slave that loses a Master she loved dearly usually dies of a broken heart... she never forgets Him.. but if she is true kajira she moves on and pushes those feelings back into a place that pushes some of her fire away as she moves to the next Master giving her heart and soul to Him

Sharra/=Orion, Tuchuk Var : I think that the good feelings should be tucked into a corner in the girl's heart, saved and treasured so that she can move on. the bad feelings are there to learn from as the healing takes place, they measure the rate of healing, until there are none left and the girl is healed

Orion Caldazar/=Sharra, Tuchuk Var: in my opinion that depends on how close the master was to the slave for instance how long was the slave owned by him and if the slave was owned along time it would be extremely difficult to say what to do I would think a good master would want to keep that slave for as long as the relationship was there

kardelen{Tolnus}, Tuchuk Var: looking to You... it has been said that a slave is not to have emotions.... how then if she is without emotion can she serve as is expected of her? putting her heart and belly into a serve is how she must be .... if she then loses the Master/Mistress that she has submitted to.. the girl respectfully says that of course her emotions are affected... a part of her (if she truly loved her Owner) dies.... whether she ever recovers...... the girl doesn't know

Thank You for the time and effort from T/those responding.
