Turia Council Meets
The council of Turia met this week and voted on many issues raised by both Members and Citizens. Among the decisions came some changes to our home, to bring it more in line with the books. These included discussing the spirit behind the mall cylinder, disspelling the rumor that someone had played slot machines there and finally deciding that in keeping with the books it would not have been unlikely that the many Merchants in Turia would have Their shops in close proximity and therefore it will be called the Merchant Cylinder or Market Square from here forth and any who r/p things that are unGorean there will be punished by the Ubar.

The issue of travelling slaves was raised, and it was voted that no slave may travel without a Homestone Free's escort. This was found unacceptable to Mistress Elany and Her slave wildfury who begged death, and was sent to Kataii WebMaze by her Mistress, and escorted there by Members of that camp, not to return to Turia.

The issue of trainers was visited, as the current trainers are away with r/t. It was decided to keep things as they are with all slaves; red silks specifically required to help in training, and the trainers or any Free doing the testing. As a side note {Bruik}shahar has returned from r/t.

A vote was held on the issue of Free Women being on the council, and the vote was 4-2 in favor of having Them remain, with Bruik and Taliesin being the dissenting votes. However later in the meeting Lady Liynaa resigned Her seat on the council.

A vote was held on the recreational use of kanda within the city, it was decided that it is up to each Individual as to Their consumption of the narcotic. It was pointed out that in Nomads of Gor the use of kanda did occur.

The council voted to have the tags of Ubara removed from Lady Elany Davio, as the FC had been dissolved. It was a narrow margin, 2 votes for removing the tags, one against and 2 abstaining from voting.

Free Woman Ko'lared
Master Bruik force ko'lared Elany Davio shortly after this vote. Renaming her elany{Bruik}. When asked to comment on this He replied and a girl quotes "She asked for a council vote as to whether or not to remain in the city, and refused to give Me a clear answer as to why she wished a vote on such a personal descision. To Me it felt like We were being manipulated and I got tired of playing her game, so I made the descision for her, feeling that what she was really begging was a coller, I should have been more careful when I bound her and put her within the slave box, as I came to find out later she had poison pins that were not listed on her GC account with which she took her own life. (He shrugs) she would have been a valuable addition to My chain."

The slaves belonging to this woman are by Gorean law now Owned by Master Bruik. ty{Elany} has been ko'lared {Bruik}ty, however, wildfury{Elany}was captured on the plains of Kaitii WebMaze, and assam{Elany}, calrith{Elany} and ramius{Elany} have not been seen in the city since these events.

The members of the city mourned the loss of elany{Bruik} or as she was known to most Mistress Elany. The funeral pyre brought many tears. She will be missed and remembered in our hearts.

** It is with a sad heart that this girl says goodbye to her sister safi{Tal} who was taken from Turia by her Master, Taliesin along with her chain sister lisa{Tal}. This girl wishes all well. You will be missed. {Dal}sasani sends a special hug to safi. Sweet sister you will be sorely missed by this girl and all of Turia. We love you very much.

** Master Nort Rar returned this week after r/t kept Him from His beloved home. Welcome back Master and we look forward to alena{Nort}'s return as well. The city sends their best wishes to her while she recovers.

Weather
Turia had beautiful sunny weather for the majority of the week, with drenching rain settling in after the council meeting, The rain is expected to last at least half of this next passage hand before giving way one more to the sun. It is noted that the rain is good for the gardens of the city.
