Chapter 4

I lay under Benji in fear; I only have my bra and jeans on now. I mange to bit Benji’s hand and yell another loud HELP when I hear footsteps climb up to the door and open it. There stands Paul, “ What the hell…”
Paul’s Pov
“ What the hell..” I stammer out. “ Benji what hell are you doing get off her!” I scream. I run over and pull him off of Molly, she then runs and finds her shirt and retreats to a corner to watch in fear. After his face and my fist met, his face was full of cuts with protruding blood, and many ugly bruises. His facial _expression was priceless, a once tough son of a bitch, is now a scared, helpless, and hoping that I don’t hurt him again.
He finally gets the courage to speak and says, “ Paul.. dude she came over here and seduced me.. I swear man!”
Right as he said that, my heart was immediately crushed. I look over at Molly with little hope, and say to her "Is this true?" and she replies, sobbing.
"No, I swear Paul! I would never do that to you!" For some reason, I believe her.
I look over at Benji with flames in my eyes, and say, "You sorry son of a bitch. Why would you take advantage of someone like that?" He replies "But, But! I didn’t.. I swe-”
I can't stand this anymore, "Shut the fuck up!" I say, "You know you did, and now you'll have to pay"
Before I can beat him anymore Molly screams “ Paul! Stop! Lets just go!” I look over at her, her Rancid shirt is all wrinkled, her make-up is all smeared and her hot pink hair is pulled up in a disheveled low bun.
“ OK” I say. I ran over to her and help her up we run out of the house leaving a scared shitless Benji.
Molly's pov
As I get in the car, I wait for him to start yelling at me, but he doesn't. He is being nice, and trying to not bring up the subject of what had just happened. Why did he believe me? He had just caught me with Billy and Benji, granted I didn't do anything, but it did look weird.
I finally blurt out "Thank you Paul so much. He was about to take me, and then I wouldn't be-" I cut myself off before I reveal anything too personal.
"Wouldn't be what?" I hear him question.
"Oh nothing," I say to save myself, I want to tell him so bad! My feelings for him are becoming more and more evident! I can't stand it anymore!
Paul’s Pov
What is she thinking right now? With that last cut off, was she going to say that she was saving herself for me? Haha I can dream right? I want to tell her, I just can't. I couldn't bear it if she said no. I can just hear her now, "What the hell? Are you crazy? I would never go out with you. It'd be like dating my brother!"
"So," I say, trying to break the ice, "why did you run to Billy, and then run to Benji's? If you don't want to talk about it its ok!"
Molly replies, "Well, I went to Billy to try to sort shit out. I couldn't stand the fact that one of our fights has lasted so long. Then, when all that shit happened at Billy's, I panicked, and went to see Joel."
"But you were with Benji!!" I say, a little confused but at the same time understanding it all.
"He wasn't there, and I needed to talk to someone and so I just started talking to him. I spilled, and all of a sudden he’s on top of me, and I can remember his mischievous face saying 'I've always wanted to do this,' or something to that effect, and then he said 'You were always too busy trying to get Paul’s attention that you never noticed me!' Shit.. " What did she say? Oh my fucking God! I think she likes me!
Molly’s Pov
‘ Shit!! Shit piss fuck !!’ I can’t believe I just gave myself away! What is he thinking? He probably thinks I am the stupidest person on the face of this earth! I can fucking hear him now breaking my heart with these words ‘ Molly I love you just not in that way.’ Damnit I fucking gave my self a headache! We sit in silence until we get to Paul’s house, I try to get out of the car but me legs feel like jelly. Paul sees this and comes over and helps me out of his car and into his room.
Once we are in Paul’s room he lays me on the bed then sits next to me. He looks my in eyes and studies my face.
Finally he says “ Was that true what Benji said about you being too busy trying to get my attention to notice him?” As he finishes he looks at me awaiting my answer.
I sigh, I guess now is the best time to tell him how I feel. “ Umm … yeah it is Paul.” I say with my eyes focused on my hands, I can’t allow my eyes to meet his.
Suddenly I get the nerve to look him in the eyes and tell him the rest “ Yes Paul, I like you in more than a “friend” way I have since high school, I was always just to scared to tell you cause I thought it would fuck up our friendship and I need you in my life to much to lose you… so I settled for best friend."
As I finish I look up into his beautiful big brown eyes they are staring at me intently, it’s making me uncomfortable.
Paul’s Pov
Oh my fucking god! I can’t believe this she did not just tell me she has feelings for me! I think I am about to pass out. I stare at her right in the eyes to see if she’s is lying but as far as I can tell she is telling the truth.
“ Molly, I have been in love with you since the first time I saw you!” Her eyes light up and I can see a small shy smile creeping up on her lips. “ But just like you I figure a girl like you would ever want to date a guy like me,” when I say that she moves closer and puts her hand on my face and I cover her hand with mine and finish “ So I settled for best friend also.”
We just stare at each other for what feels like an eternity but really it’s just a matter of minutes. Finally she moves over and sits on my lap. I hug her and the next thing I know she has me laying on my back and she is on top of me!
“ M-M-Molly what are you doing?” I choke out.
“ Some thing we have both wanted for along time.” She says seductively.
Just as I am about to kiss her the phone rings, its Joel “ Paul, I’m at the Hospital.. its Benji….”
