At Spaceworld Nintendo didnt just unveil a console and a standard controller they also unveiled a Wireless RF controller Named Wavebird.
The Wavebird works by players pluging a reciver into one of the four GAMECUBE controller ports and seting it to one of four preset channels.
You can now operate your controller up to 10 meters away without the use of cables. Sound strange dosen't it. You would automatically asume the you had to point the thing directly at the GAMECUBE. Well at Spaceworld a Nintendo Representative controlled Mario without even pointing the Wavebird at the GAMECUBE.
Nintendo has only unveiled the Wavebird as a prototype so far so that bulky reciver and grey plastic colour could still be changed
