Plot: As several gruesome murders plague the castle-town of Gotham, Bruce Wayne's nightmares lead him to think he's responsible for them, leading a double-life as some sort of demon.
It's definitely a gorgeously rendered fantasy book, but gosh, is it gory!
Etrigan's rhyming was quite comical throughout. There was one point where his lettering was used for Croc's, which made things a little weird. It was nice to see Ivy as an apothecary, but Catwoman once again looks like a bondage fairy.
I figured out that Alfred was Merlin only a page before he revealed himself, thinking to myself that if Bruce lived for a thousand years, someone must've taken care of him for that long, and sure enough...
I would've liked this book, if it wasn't for one thing which totally screwed it up at the end: yes, it's a tragedy, and lots of people die. But in order to prevent anymore killing, Merlin's spell must be redone. Fine. Then why in the heck does Bruce forget about his lover, Glenda, but remember Jim Gordon's name? Glenda means much more to him than Jim does, and it doesn't make any sense as to why he forgets about her completely.
