"I Remember"
Before, I remembered How I used to run and hide From a life filled with torment; I remembered How I used to plead and cry From a pain that was Hell-sent; I remembered How I used to scream and rage And how it got me no where; I remembered How my fear became a cage And peace became something rare. But now, I remember How my Savior has loved me, And I dance and shout His name; I remember How He has worked faithfully And taken away my shame; I remember How my pain and fear He stole And tamed a spirit so wild; I remember How He redeemed my lost soul And called me His precious child.
